The MAFBO project is taking part to the XVII World UISPP Congress 1-7 September 2014, Burgos, Spain. Three members of the project will be participating at the session A26 (Southeast Asia: Human Evolution, Dispersals and Adaptation), including François-Xavier Ricaut, Sébastien Plutniak, and Pradiptajati Kusuma.
- Pradiptajati Kusuma will present a paper entitled “Austronesian westward expansion: Maanyan Indonesian groups and the settlement of Madagascar” (co-authored with Murray P. Cox, Harilanto Razafindrazaka, Thierry Letellier, Herawati Sudoyo, François-Xavier Ricaut).
- Sébastien Plutniak, will present a poster intitled “Red-slipped and cord-marked pottery from East Kalimantan sites and the Borneo’s Pottery Chronology” (co-authored with Adhi Agus Oktaviana, Bambang Sugiyanto, Jean-Michel Chazine, Truman Simanjuntak, François-Xavier Ricaut).
- François-Xavier Ricaut will giva a talk entitled “Human occupation during Holocene in Mangkalihat Peninsula (East Borneo): A pluridisciplinary approach” (co-authored with Sébastien Plutniak, Adhi Agus Oktaviana, Jean-Georges Ferrié, Bambang Sugiyanto, Josette Sarel, Antonio Guerreiro, Ruly Fauzi, Michel Grenet, Truman Simanjuntak).
